Zian Runs into Aces

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

Sascha Zian was down to her last 7,100 chips and moved all in from middle position. Terry Williams called to her immediate left and action was folded around from there.

Sascha Zian: {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Terry Williams: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

Zian ran into Williams' aces at the worst possible time, and the runout of {4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Diamonds} gave Williams a straight to eliminate her from the tournament.

Heiberg on a Heater

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante
Jeff Heiberg
Jeff Heiberg

Jeff Heiberg, who sits second on Wyoming's all-time tournament money list has been spotted with one of the biggest stacks in the room.

He passed along a rush of hands over the last couple of levels that included flopping a set of sixes against his opponent's {a-}{j-} on an {a-}{j-}{6-} flop to bust them, making a king-high flush over an opponent's smaller flush, and to top it off, he made a straight flush as well.

Heiberg's heater has vaulted him over 100,000 in chips.

Heiberg's Heater Continues, Bekavac Escapes

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante
Jeff Heiberg
Jeff Heiberg

Dan Bekavac and Jeff Heiberg recently passed along a hand which saw Heiberg's already large stack grow at the expense of Bekavac, but it could have been much worse for the four-time MSPT champ.

According to the players, Heiberg raised to 1,800 under the gun, and picked up no less than six callers, including Bekavac.

On a flop of {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts}, Heiberg continued for 10,500, with only Bekavac making the call.

The turn brought the {q-Clubs}, and Heiberg bet another 25,000.

Bekavac folded {j-}{9-} for two pair, while Heiberg showed {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a turned straight, with a draw to potentially his second straight flush of the day.
