Gayheart Finds Three Ducks

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Action started on the flop in a three-way pot with a board of {2-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. Action checked to the button who bet 4,000 into the pot of about 6,000.

The player in the small blind called before action was on "Vegas" Vic Gayheart in early position. He put in the raise to 15,000.

Both the button and small blind folded and Gayheart showed {2-Spades}{2-Clubs} for the flopped set to take down the pot.

Bowman's Cowboys Cut Down Rockets

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Jesse Bowman
Jesse Bowman

Action picked up on the flop with two players getting all their chips in the middle preflop. Jesse Bowman had the slightly bigger stack, but about 90,000 chips were up for grabs.

Opponent: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Jesse Bowman: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

Aces versus kings meant bad news for Bowman's stack, and the flop was safe for aces when the {9-Spades}{j-Hearts}{8-Spades} hit the board. The {10-Clubs} turn added more outs for Bowman. The river brought Bowman the miracle {k-Spades} for the set and the winner to eliminate his opponent and jump to near the top of the leaderboard.

Fliginger Makes the Nuts, Eliminates Skrondahl

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Thane Fliginger raised to 3,500 from early position and picked up three callers, including Shaun Skrondahl on his immediate left.

The flop showed up {8-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Fliginger continued for 4,500. Skrondahl moved all in for 15,600. Action folded back to Fliginger who thought for about 30 seconds and made the call.

Shaun Skrondahl: {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Thane Fliginger: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

Fliginger had Skrondahl drawing thin with his two overs and a flush draw. The turn sealed it when the {9-Spades} landed, followed by the {a-Clubs} river to give Fliginger the flush and felt Skrondahl.

White Gets River Value

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The under-the-gun player raised to 2,500 before Mark White three-bet to 7,000 from middle position. Action folded back to the original raiser who made the call.

The flop appeared {j-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Hearts} and both players checked. They also checked the {a-Diamonds} turn.

On the {10-Clubs} river, though, White bet 15,000 when checked to. His opponent made the call.

White showed {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} for top pair, good enough to take it down.

Bohn Gets Folds

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Blake Bohn raised to 3,000 from early position and found three callers, including Mark White in the big blind.

"Anybody got anything?" asked Bohn. "Jack," he called out as the flop came out. There was no jack on the {7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and all four players checked.

The turn was the {9-Spades}. This time Bohn bet 9,000 when checked to. Action folded to White in the big blind who started to think.

"You looked at your chips, guess they're all going in," said Bohn. "I saw you look at your grays, so you're committing at least one of them."

"Yeah, but it takes two," said White.

"No it doesn't, just one gray and one four orange," noted Bohn.

After some consideration, White let it go and Bohn took down the pot to get back to around starting stack.
