Novak's Boat Sends Flush Down the River

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Terry Novak
Terry Novak

Action picked up on the flop with about 5,000 in the middle in a four-way pot. The board showed {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}.

From early position, Terry Novak bet 3,500. Action folded to Dallas Schmidt in the big blind who moved all in for about 16,000 and Novak made the call quickly.

Dallas Schmidt: {j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}
Terry Novak: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

"Diamonds? Yeah, I was worried, you had diamonds," said Novak. Still he had top set and was in good shape.

The turn was the {6-Hearts}, changing nothing.

"Black!" yelled Novak.

The river did bring a diamond, but it was the {6-Diamonds}, pairing the board and shipping Schmidt's stack to Novak.

Burke Finds a Hidden Set

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Chris Burke raised to 700 from early position and picked up a caller in the cutoff before Keerat Bawa three-bet from the small blind to 2,200. Both Burke and the cutoff made the call.

The flop showed up {q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and all three players checked.

The turn brought the {a-Spades} and Bawa led for 2,500. Burke wasted no time raising the price up to 8,000. The cutoff player folded, but Bawa made the call to head to the river.

The final card was the {8-Hearts} and Bawa checked it over. Burke fired 10,000, sending Bawa into the tank for about a minute. She did eventually put in the call.

Burked revealed the slowplayed {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} for flopped top set and the winner.

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Ryan Skluzak
Ryan Skluzak

Action picked up on the turn in a large heads-up pot. The board showed {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and about 22,000 was in the middle.

Ryan Skluzak was in position on the button and put in 30,000, enough to cover the 15,000 or so that was in Ryan Remington's stack. Remington thought it over and landed on a call.

Ryan Remington: {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Ryan Skluzak: {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Remington made the hopeful hero call, but saw Skluzak had the goods with trips. The river brought the {9-Diamonds} to stack Remington and give Skluzak the pot.

Winter Ices Cobb

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

In a four-way pot, Lee Cobb led for 1,600 from under the gun. The board showed {10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{j-Hearts}.

Alex Winter min-raised from the cutoff to 3,200. That forced folds from the two players in between them. Back on Cobb, he three-bet the flop to 7,000. Winter decided to call in position.

The turn brought the {4-Hearts} and Cobb continued his aggression with a bet of 15,000, nearly enough to put Winter in. After a little thought, Winter went with his hand, moving all in for 17,200. Cobb called the rest.

Alex Winter: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Lee Cobb: {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Winter had Cobb pipped and drawing thin, the river changed nothing when the {10-Spades} hit, and Winter locked up the double at Cobb's expense.

Brian Tuenge
Brian Tuenge

Action began on the flop in a three-way pot with about 12,000 in the middle. The board read {4-Spades}{q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

An early-position player checked, Brian Tuenge checked from middle position, and Terence Reid checked from late position. The three headed to the turn.

The dealer added the {9-Diamonds} to the board. The early-position player led for 5,000. Tuenge min-raised to 10,000, causing Reid to get out of the way. After some thought, the first player moved all in for about 22,000 and Tuenge called with a very similar stack.

Early position: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Brian Tuenge: {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

Tuenge turned two pair to run down his opponent's top pair. The river was a blank that changed nothing and Tuenge scooped the pot, also stacking his opponent.
