Howard Gets One Through

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Action began on the turn with a board of {2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Taylor Howard was risking it all when he went all in for 12,700 into the pot of about 16,000.

His opponent went deep into the tank, thinking for a couple of minutes. Eventually, he made the fold and Howard took down the pot.

Schmidt Binks the River

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Action started on the flop with a board of all threes, the {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. About 20,000 was in the pot.

The under-the-gun player checked and Dan Schmidt bet 10,000 from middle position. The player in the cutoff moved all in for 33,000. The under-the-gun player thought for quite some time before folding.

Schmidt also thought for a while, but eventually put in the call to put his opponent at risk.

Opponent: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Dan Schmidt: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Schmidt's worse full house left him drawing for two outs. The {a-Hearts} turn changed nothing, but the miracle {j-Hearts} hit the river to give Schmidt the massive pot.

Colson Leaves Wazwaz Flabbergasted

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Dan Schmidt opened from middle position to 1,600 and Rodney Colson called on his left. In late position, Rob Wazwaz three-bet 5,500. Both Schmidt and Colson made the call.

The flop showed up {10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and action checked to Wazwaz. He continued for 6,500. Schmidt folded and action was on Colson. He thought for a while before moving all in, about 15,000 effective in Wazwaz's stack.

"Ugh, I can't fold," said Wazwaz as he made the call.

"Just a ten," said Colson.

Rob Wazwaz: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}
Rodney Colson: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Wazwaz looked in good shape to double up, and the turn {j-Clubs} kept him in the lead. However, the river {10-Clubs} gave Colson trips and sent left Wazwaz chipless.

Johnson Gets Value With a Full House

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Action began on the flop of a heads-up pot with Tyree Johnson on the button. The board showed {7-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

The cutoff player checked and Johnson bet 2,100 into the pot of about 4,800. His opponent called the bet.

The turn put a third nine out there, the {9-Diamonds}. Again, Johnson saw his opponent check-call a bet, this time 2,500.

On the inconsequential {3-Diamonds} river, the cutoff checked one final time and Johnson emptied the clip with a bet of 5,000. After some thought, his opponent made the call.

Johnson turned over {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for the full house, good enough for the winner.
