Bekavac Holds On With His Flopped Top Pair

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Five players saw a limped-pot flop with Dan Bekavac in the big blind.

The dealer put out {8-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades}. Bekavac led for 65,000 and only one player called, Stan Webb in middle position.

"He's sticky, that's why we call him Spider-Man," said Bekavac.

On the {j-Clubs} turn, Bekavac checked and said, "Not too much or I might fold." Webb bet 125,000 and Bekavac called.

The river came the {q-Spades} and Bekavac bet 25,000 in the dark. Webb immediately bet 175,000.

"You just have a flush here, right?" Bekavac thought out loud. He did make the call for the 150,000 more, though.

"I missed," said Webb.

Bekavac showed {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for the winner.
