Final Day 1 Flight Set to Begin in MSPT Iowa State Poker Championship Main Event at Riverside
The third and final Day 1 flight for the MSPT Iowa State Poker Championship $1,110 Main Event is set to take place this afternoon. Cards will fly at 3:00 p.m. in the casino event center.
Yesterday saw 316 players take their shot and 37 of them found a bag for Day 2. Today is the last chance for championship hopefuls to secure a spot for Sunday. With unlimited reentries available, today promises to be an exciting quest to find a much-desired bag in pursuit of the $300,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Players will start with 25,000 in chips and enjoy 40-minute levels to allow for plenty of deep-stack maneuverability. Level one will start with blinds of 100/100 with a 100 big blind ante.
Breaks will be 10 minutes long and occur every three levels. Late registration will be open until the start of level 13 (approximately 11:30 p.m.). Day 1c will play 15 levels or until approximately 12% of the field remains, whichever comes first. For the first two days, 12% was reached late in the day.
PokerNews will be here all weekend long to share the excitement and report all the action on this final Day 1 flight, so keep it locked in here to follow along.
