After 15 full levels of play, The field is set for Day 2 after the final Day 1 flight has concluded. A total of 69 surviving players found bags to join the 53 players from the previous two days.

A total of 523 players took part in today's flight, bringing the total number of entries to 979.

Bagging the biggest stack on the day was Kevin Berthelsen with 490,000, although Cody Wells was just barely behind him with 485,000 himself. Both players were vying for the top spot as the end of the day drew near and will both take healthy stacks into Day 2 tomorrow.

Not all players were fortunate enough to find a bag on this final chance to do so. The likes of Mitchell Bank, Ron Kruk, Rob Wazwaz, Jason Ramos, Ryan Scully, Craig Welko, and Chad Holloway all fell short of the goal.

Jeffrey Copeland (56,000) had one of the highlight hands of the night when he flopped a set against two players who both had flushes. Of course, the Saint Louisan boated up on the river to carry him to a Day 2 stack. '

Sam Hanson (349,000) was down to just 10,000 in level 10 before picking up aces and holding against a huge draw. He managed to spin that 10,000 into a top-ten stack by the end of the night.

Day 2 will begin at 11:00 a.m. local time tomorrow in level 14 with 5:07 left on the clock, the earliest level reached by any of the flights.

That does it for our coverage tonight. Tune back in tomorrow here at PokerNews when all players combine for a Day 2 that will play down to our next Iowa State Poker Champion.
