Anthony Danna Eliminated in 9th Place ($16,154)

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Anthony Danna
Anthony Danna

With roughly 500,000 in the middle on a flop of {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, Brendan Shiller committed 325,000 to the pot in the hijack, Ron West jammed for 1,645,000 in the cutoff, and Anthony Danna moved in his 1,350,000 chips from early position. Shiller pondered his decision and eventually called.

Anthony Danna: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Ron West: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Brendan Shiller: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

All three players had monster hands, and Danna was currently ahead with his flopped set. The {k-Spades} turn didn't change much, but the {3-Diamonds} spiked the river to give West the nut flush and the pot.

"Yeah!" West exclaimed upon the sight of the river card that gave him the chip lead with huge implications in one of the first hands of the final table.

In addition to West taking the chip lead, Shiller lost a sizable chunk of his stack, and Danna was eliminated in ninth place for $16,154.
