After a large turnout in last week's event, The Mid-States Poker Tour is kicking off their final flight in their second event with The Mid-States Poker Tour $1,100 No-Limit Hold’em at Venetian Las Vegas. The final chance for players to get a piece of the $1,500,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Yesterday’s flight saw a total of 822 entrants come out to play with Tonio Roder leading the remaining 101 players of the flight with 874,000. Other players that bagged last flight included MSPT Champion Ethan “Rampage” Yau (437,000) and WSOP bracelet winner Cord Garcia (300,000).
Given that this is the final flight, many players are expected to make an appearance today, including MSPT 2021 player of the year Kyna England, Dan Bekavac, Aaron Johnson, Josh Reichard, and Rich Alsup.
The players will sit down with 25,000 in starting chips with blinds beginning at 100/100 and a 100 big blind ante. Blinds will last 40 minutes with a 15-minute break after every three levels. A 60-minute dinner break will occur after Level 9 and once the dinner break is completed, registration will be closed for that flight.

Renato Spahiu raised to 300 in first position and from middle position, another player three-bet to 1,200 folding out all other action except Spahiu who called.
The board of was checked to the river where Spahiu led out for 1,000 on the river and his opponent quickly folded, giving Spahiu an early pot.

Action was picked up on the flop with Michael Newman in the hijack facing one player in the cutoff and one on the button with 500 in the pot.
On a board of , Newman checked to the cutoff who bet 400 which folded out the button and got a call from Newman.
The turn of checked through to the river where Newman bet 500 and his opponent snap-folded which gave Newman the pot as his stack began to grow.
