After a large turnout in last week's event, The Mid-States Poker Tour is kicking off their final flight in their second event with The Mid-States Poker Tour $1,100 No-Limit Hold’em at Venetian Las Vegas. The final chance for players to get a piece of the $1,500,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Yesterday’s flight saw a total of 822 entrants come out to play with Tonio Roder leading the remaining 101 players of the flight with 874,000. Other players that bagged last flight included MSPT Champion Ethan “Rampage” Yau (437,000) and WSOP bracelet winner Cord Garcia (300,000).

Given that this is the final flight, many players are expected to make an appearance today, including MSPT 2021 player of the year Kyna England, Dan Bekavac, Aaron Johnson, Josh Reichard, and Rich Alsup.

The players will sit down with 25,000 in starting chips with blinds beginning at 100/100 and a 100 big blind ante. Blinds will last 40 minutes with a 15-minute break after every three levels. A 60-minute dinner break will occur after Level 9 and once the dinner break is completed, registration will be closed for that flight.

The players will bag up and return on Day 2 once they complete 15 levels. Stay tuned to PokerNews for all updates regarding the Mid-States Poker Tour.

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante
Jerry Yang
Jerry Yang

Action was picked up with one player all-in and at risk for a main pot of about 17,000 and Jerry Yang and an opponent playing for a side pot.

On a board reading {4-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Diamonds} Yang checked to his opponent who moved all-in for 10,300 effective which sent Yang into the tank. He took a look around the room to see what the line to re-enter was looking like. After some thinking he called.

At-risk player: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Jerry Yang: {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Opponent: {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The turn of {10-Hearts} did not change anything, but the river {8-Hearts} gave Yang the only pair of the bunch and the 2007 WSOP Main Event Champion more than doubled.

Fehim Hajdari called in the small blind and the big blind checked.

The flop came out {3-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Hajdari checked over to his opponent who bet 1,000 which Hajdari called.

The turn rolled off a {10-Diamonds} which saw Hajdari check once more to his opponent who sized up to 7,000 which Hajdari called once more.
