Day 2 of MSPT $1,100 Venetian Begins at 11 a.m.

The penultimate day of the $1,100 Mid-States Poker Tour Main Event At Venetian begins at 11 a.m. The players will play a full 15 levels before bagging up for tomorrow.

The tournament saw a total of 2,154 entrants come out to play with Tonio Roder leading the remaining 255 players with 874,000. Also bagging large were players like WSOP bracelet winners Roberly Felicio (540,000), Ethan Yau (419,000), and Ronnie Bardah (302,000).

The final 225 players are guaranteed a minimum cash of $2,079 with all eyes on the $294,327 up top, the biggest chunk of the massive $2,078,610 prize pool.

The clock was stopped on level 13 with 18:35 remaining in Flight 1a, so players will come back with blinds at 2,000/3,000 and a 3,000 big blind ante. After this level, the blinds will last 40 minutes each, with a 15-minute break after every three levels. After nine levels, the players will go on a 60-minute dinner break.

Hajdari's Four Aces

Action was picked up on the turn in a hand between Fehim Hajdari in the big blind and Nicholas Marchington in the hijack, with roughly 30,000 in the middle.

On a board reading , Hajdari checked to Marchington who bet 7,000, which Hajdari called.

The river checked through and Hajdari turned over for four aces which was good for the pot as Marchington nodded and mucked his hand.

Santiago Soriano raised to 11,000 in the hijack and Colten Yamagishi three-bet to 31,000 with all action folding behind. Soriano moved all in for 450,000 and Yamagishi called for his last 390,000.

The flop came out with no improvement being brought to Soriano's hand. The turn gave the eight-two an open-ended straight draw and the river straightened out the board for Soriano's hand and Yamagishi became the last player in the field to not receive a payout.

The flop came out and Brown continued for 55,000 which sent Powell into the tank. After roughly three minutes Powell moved all in and Brown instantly called.

Matthews Wins A Massive Pot

A player raised to to 30,000 under the-gun and was called by 6 players including Camille Brown in early position Jimmy D'Ambrosio on the button and Clifford Matthews in the big blind.

The flop came out and the action checked to the initial raiser who bet 55,000 which was called by Brown. Another player folded and D'Ambrosio moved all-in for 180,000 on the button. The Matthews moved all-in out of turn for 580,000 and the small blind got out of the way. The initial raiser folded and Brown called for most of her stack.
