Bekavac Scoops One Early

Level 1 : 100/100, 100 ante
Dan Bekavac
Dan Bekavac

A player in first position raised to 300 and action folded to Dan Bekavac on the button who called. The big blind three-bet to 1,500 and both players quickly called.

The flop came out {2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{5-Clubs} and the big blind led for 2,000 which both the under the-gun player and Bekavac called.

The turn peeled off the {9-Clubs} and the big blind sized up to 6,000 which saw the under the-gun player fold and Bekavac call.

On the {2-Clubs}, the big blind checked and Bekavac bet 15,000. "You could have kings," said the big blind as he contemplated putting in the call. After some time, he tossed in a call and Bekavac turned over {4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for three twos which was good for the pot as his opponent mucked and the 4-time MSPT champion nearly doubled his starting stack.

Regards Given To Ruiz

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante
Angel Ruiz
Angel Ruiz

Action was picked up on the turn between Angel Ruiz and a player in the big blind.

The board read {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and the big blind led out for 2,300 which Ruiz called.

The river of {6-Spades} saw the big blind check and Ruiz go into the tank. After a decent amount of time passing, Ruiz put in 5,000 and his opponent snap-called to turn over {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. It was no good against Ruiz though, who had flopped a broadway straight with {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and took down the pot.
