A Very Silly Hand Crowns Chipleader

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Dylan Meier
Dylan Meier

In a three-way pot with around 40,000 in the middle, the flop read {6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{4-Spades} when the big blind shipped his last 7,000 into the pot.

Cameron Law and Dylan Meier both called and the three went to the turn {7-Hearts}, with one player all in.

Law checked and Meier decided to check back, and they saw the {5-Spades} land on the river.

Law then bet 20,000 into the side pot, and after a few seconds, Meier grabbed a stack of chips and set them in the middle, covering Law. This sent Law into the tank.

"What you got, two-pair?" Meier asked him after a bit.

"No I've got the wrong end of the straight and I'm scared of that eight in your hand," Law replied. "Two-pair he says," Law chuckled to himself.

"Alright I'll let it go," Law finally came to a decision and tossed his cards in. Miers then nodded and tabled {a-Spades}{8-Spades}, exactly as Law predicted. The big blind shook his head and tabled {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for the bottom end of the straight.

"Well that's why we didn't get any help! I had the other threes!" Law exclaimed as he reached and flipped over his folded hand to show that he also had {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}.

"Wow that might just be the silliest hand I've ever seen," Meiers laughed as he was pushed the huge pot to boost him into the chip lead with near 500,000, meanwhile the big blind was eliminated and exited the tournament area.

Level 10 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Preston Dean
Preston Dean

On a flop of {10-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}, the player in the hijack had just moved all in for 27,000 and action was now back on Preston Dean in the small blind.

After a good minute in the tank, Dean announced a call and flipped over his hand, putting his opponent at risk.

Hijack: {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Preston Dean: {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

"Woww.." the table collectively gasped as they realized the situation. Dean was just barely outkicking his opponent, and the runout of {4-Hearts}{j-Spades} gave him a straight on the river to award him the pot, eliminating his opponent in the process.

Dee Prue

Ken Lybeck opened to 4,000 and then Dee Prue moved all in for 7,100. The action was now on JJ Zacher, who thought for a second before making the call.

Ken Lybeck also just called and the three went to a flop of {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Spades}, with Prue all in. Lybeck was first to act and he moved all in for 51,000, covering Zacher.

Zacher then shook his head and folded {j-}{j-} face-up as the other two tabled their hands.

Dee Prue: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Ken Lybeck: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

"Ok i can still get there!" Prue announced as she prayed for a spade. The turn was no help as it came the {9-Hearts}, but her prayers were answered as the {2-Spades} came down on the river to give her the nut flush for a full triple-up.

Richard Dixon
Richard Dixon

On a heads-up turn of {j-Spades}{10-Clubs}{q-Spades}{8-Hearts}, the late position player bet 4,000 but was then raised to 11,000 by Richard Dixon.

The river was the {10-Hearts} and the late position player moved all in for hi last 10,500, which made Dixon pause for a second.

"Come on, man, you gotta call," his opponent enticed him, seemingly wanting him to call.

Dixon then gathered the necessary chips and threw them in the middle in a call.

"Alright I missed," he admitted as he showed {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for a pair of jacks.

"You got the nine don't you?" he continued. And with that, Dixon flipped over {a-Clubs}{9-Spades} for the bottom end of the straight, which was good enough to scoop the pot and eliminate his opponent.

"Man I almost folded," Dixon admitted as he was pushed the chips.

Michhael Williams
Michhael Williams

PokerNews missed the hand, but it was relayed after the fact.

Adam Friedman opened under-the-gun to 900 and was called by five players, including Michael Williams in the big blind.

The flop came {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-} and Williams checked to Friedman, who made a pot-sized bet of 5,200 and a player behind called. When the action got back around to Williams, he moved all in for 40,000. Friedman moved all in for less, and the player behind folded so the cards were then tabled, with Friedman at risk.

Adam Friedman: {q-Hearts}{q-}
Michael Williams: {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

Although Friedman was ahead going in, the river came the {6-Diamonds} to give Williams a straight, and Friedman was sent to the rail as Williams was pushed the pot.

Friedman then instantly reloaded for another go.
