Wells Gets There

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

On a heads-up turn board of {5-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, Terence Reid bet 45,000, but then Weston Wells moved all in for roughly 50,000 more.

Reid thought about it for just a second before making the call, putting Wells at risk.

Weston Wells: {3-Spades}{4-Spades}
Terence Reid: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

Although Reid was ahead going in with his top pair, Wells had a ton of outs to hit with his combo draw, but somehow he missed his draw and instead hit the {3-Hearts} on the river to give him trip threes to win the hand.

Meiers Gets it Through

Level 14 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

PokerNews walked up on a big pot of over 150,000 between Gerald Cunniff and Dylan Meier on a completed board of {5-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{j-Hearts}.

Cunniff had already checked his action and it was then on Meiers, who then slid out a stack of 95,000, which sent Cunniff into the tank.

After a good while of contemplation, Cunniff finally decided to let it go. Meiers then showed him {q-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for just queen-high.

"Thanks for showing," Cunniff told him, "i had king-queen". He admitted as Meiers was pushed the big pot.
