Meier Takes it on the River

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

On a heads-up completed board of {6-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{4-Clubs}, the early position player bet 3,000 into the 8,000 pot. She was then raised to 9,400 by Dylan Meier in middle position and she then went into the tank.

After several long moments, she finally shook her head and made the laydown. Meier then showed {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for trip fours on the river as he was pushed the pot.

Vigel Flops a Set

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

After raising to 2,500 preflop and getting multiple callers, the small blind then moved all in on the flop of {8-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}. Lawrence Vigel then moved all in for more right behind, and the other players quickly folded.

Small Blind: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Lawrence Vigel: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

Since Vigel already had a set of sevens, his opponent could only hit running spades to win, but the turn {j-Hearts} dashed those hopes as he was then drawing dead. The board completed with the {2-Diamonds} and the small blind was eliminated as Vigel raked in the pot.

Friedman Busted in Brutal Fashion

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
Michhael Williams
Michhael Williams

PokerNews missed the hand, but it was relayed after the fact.

Adam Friedman opened under-the-gun to 900 and was called by five players, including Michael Williams in the big blind.

The flop came {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-} and Williams checked to Friedman, who made a pot-sized bet of 5,200 and a player behind called. When the action got back around to Williams, he moved all in for 40,000. Friedman moved all in for less, and the player behind folded so the cards were then tabled, with Friedman at risk.

Adam Friedman: {q-Hearts}{q-}
Michael Williams: {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

Although Friedman was ahead going in, the river came the {6-Diamonds} to give Williams a straight, and Friedman was sent to the rail as Williams was pushed the pot.

Friedman then instantly reloaded for another go.

Curl Makes The Call

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

PokerNews only caught the tail end of the hand, but on a completed board of {3-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, the cutoff player had moved all in and the action was now on the button player, Alan Curl.

WIth his tournament life on the line, Curl was deep in the tank for a good while before deciding to call it off.

The cutoff didn't look too happy with that decision as he was forced to reveal his hand of {7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for seven-high. Curl then triumphantly tabled his {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} for a pair of queens to win the pot for a big double-up.
