A Very Silly Hand Crowns Chipleader

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Dylan Meier

In a three-way pot with around 40,000 in the middle, the flop read {6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{4-Spades} when the big blind shipped his last 7,000 into the pot.

Cameron Law and Dylan Meier both called and the three went to the turn {7-Hearts}, with one player all in.

Law checked and Meier decided to check back, and they saw the {5-Spades} land on the river.

Law then bet 20,000 into the side pot, and after a few seconds, Meier grabbed a stack of chips and set them in the middle, covering Law. This sent Law into the tank.

"What you got, two-pair?" Meier asked him after a bit.

"No I've got the wrong end of the straight and I'm scared of that eight in your hand," Law replied. "Two-pair he says," Law chuckled to himself.

"Alright I'll let it go," Law finally came to a decision and tossed his cards in. Miers then nodded and tabled {a-Spades}{8-Spades}, exactly as Law predicted. The big blind shook his head and tabled {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for the bottom end of the straight.

"Well that's why we didn't get any help! I had the other threes!" Law exclaimed as he reached and flipped over his folded hand to show that he also had {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}.

"Wow that might just be the silliest hand I've ever seen," Meiers laughed as he was pushed the huge pot to boost him into the chip lead with near 500,000, meanwhile the big blind was eliminated and exited the tournament area.

Johnson Doubles Up

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

After reloading at the break with a fresh stack of 25,000, Aaron Johnson put them all in the middle preflop against Basin Habid.

Aaron Johnson: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Basin Habid: {q-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The flop came {3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades} to give Habid the lead with his pair of tens, and the turn {6-Clubs} did not change anything, but the river fell the {k-Diamonds} to keep Johnson alive as he secured the double up.

Reid Rivers a Deuce

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

On a heads-up flop of {q-Spades}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades}, Preston Dean fired 10,000 from the small blind and was called by Terence Reid in late position.

On the turn {7-Diamonds}, the action went check-check and the duo saw the {2-Spades} on the river.

Dean then led out for 15,000 and was quickly called by Reid.

Dean flipped over {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for a pair of fives, but then Reid rolled over {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for trip deuces on the river.

Licking Gets There

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

On a heads-up flop of {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, Russell Licking was faced with an all-in bet of 28,000 from his opponent.

"Well you're ahead right now", Licking stated after several moments in thought and flicked in a calling chip. The cards were then tabled, with Licking covering his opponent.

Opponent: {k-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Russell Licking: {5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

His opponent was, in fact, ahead on the flop, but the {7-Spades} on the turn gave Licking a straight to take the lead. His opponent could still hit a six or a jack to chop, but the river {a-Clubs} did not do it and he was sent to the rail as Licking was pushed the pot to boost his stack to almost 200,000.

Law Makes the Call

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Cameron Law opened to 7,000 preflop and was called by small blind Dylan Meier and the big blind.

The flop came {10-Spades}{5-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and all three players checked to the {9-Diamonds} turn. Meier then led out for 8,000 and both players made the call to see the {j-Clubs} land on the river.

Meier checked, then the big blind ripped it in for 21,500. After a few seconds, Law made the call and Meier folded.

"Mannnn, you're supposed to fold there! I don't have anything."

"That's what I was hoping you would say, but I still need to see that hand," Law replied.

"I've got seven-high man," the big blind sighed as he tossed over {7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. Law then flipped over {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for a rivered pair of jacks to take the pot and eliminated his opponent.
