The second and final starting flight of the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) 2022 MSPT Deadwood Shootout is in the books. Day 1b attracted 212 runners during Saturday's action, bringing the grand total to 422 entries (210 from Day 1a; 212 from 1b). This generated a prize pool of $407,840 with the top 45 places paid for a min-cash of $2,243.

After the completion of Level 15, just 30 players bagged with Robert Urbatsch and his stack of 452,000 leading the way. Urbatsch soared to the top of the counts towards the end of the night When he won a huge multi-way pot.

Close behind him was Louis Anderson with (404,000), Deadwood Champ Gerald Cunniff (342,000), Weston Wells (308,000), and rounding out the top five is Richard Dixon with 302,000.

Others to punch their tickets to Day 2 were Terence Reid (243,000), bracelet winner Chad Himmelspach (187,000), Cy Church (97,000), and 2018 MSPT Player of the Year Aaron Johnson (233,000).

Of course, not everyone was fortunate enough to make it through the night. Among those to fire and fall in Saturday's flight were three-time MSPT champ Matt Kirby, five-time bracelet winner Adam Friedman, and MSPT Deadwood Champs Mark Steffen and Sergio Mireles.

Day 2 will get underway at 11 a.m. local time tomorrow, October 23, and will play to a winner with 56 players returning to the felt. The top 45 finishers will get paid with the eventual winner walking away with the coveted Deadwood custom trophy and the first-place prize of $89,725.
