Kim Surrenders

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Jonathan Kim
Jonathan Kim

The player first-to-act opened to 1,000 and was called by Jonathan Kim in the cutoff and the player in the big blind.

Action checked to the initial raiser on the {5-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} flop, who continued for another 1,000. Only Kim called.

The turn brought the {q-Diamonds} and it was checked to Kim, who bet 1,800. His opponent responded by check-raising to 7,300 and Kim didn't take long to fold.

Kim, who has amassed over $200k in career earnings according to his MSPT profile, is still in decent shape with 34,700 to work with.

McKeehen KO'd by Cooler

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

Joe McKeehen got all in for around 30,000 against a single opponent with pocket kings against {q-}{10-} on a {j-}{9-}{k-} flop.

McKeehen would need the board to pair to double through, but the {a-} turn and {3-} river were of no help — leaving him to re-enter should he choose to continue.

Morgan Flushed Out

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
John Morgan
John Morgan

A player in early position opened to 1,500 and was called by John Morgan in the hijack and both players in the blinds.

Action checked to Morgan on the {j-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop, and he bet 1,000. The player in the small blind then check-raised to 5,000 and action folded back to Morgan, who shoved in his remaining chips. The small blind called and hands were tabled.

Small blind: {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Morgan: {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

Morgan would need to fade hearts or running cards to a full house, but the {a-Hearts} came immediately on the turn and left him needing the board to pair.

It wasn't meant to be, as the {9-Clubs} completed the board, sending Morgan to the rail. Morgan re-entered shortly after busting.

Two Pair Good for Liebert

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Kathy Liebert
Kathy Liebert

The player in the cutoff opened to 2,200 and found one caller in Kathy Liebert from the big blind.

Both players checked on the {j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop, but Liebert bet out 3,000 on the {a-Hearts} turn. Her opponent called.

The {8-Clubs} filled the river and Liebert quickly bet 10,000. Her opponent called again and Liebert tabled {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for top two pair, which was good as her opponent mucked.
