"How Do I Not Go Broke?"

Level 10 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

That was what Cary Katz was left wondering to himself as he lost the minimum (is less than the minimum possible?) in a hand against Pierre Garand. The latter opened to 300,000 and Katz just called in position. The {9-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop was checked through and the {5-Hearts} fell on the turn. Bet of 600,000 from Garand, call from Katz.

The {K-Diamonds} fell on the river and Garand reverted to checking. Katz thought for a while and then said. "Cowardly," about his own actions as he turned over {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}. His opponent had {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} though for the flopped set. "Maybe not so cowardly," said Katz, before adding. "How do I not go broke there?".
