Day 2 Seating Assignments and Chip Counts

First place will collect $72,163 and the top 15 finishers will make the money so there is some time left before we hit the money bubble. The tentative plan is to play 12 levels today but that can change depending on circumstances and is at the discretion of the PPC tournament staff.

Ferraro Starts Out With a Bang

Jon Ferraro
Jon Ferraro

We didn't catch the pre-flop action but there were three players all in and it was Jon Ferraro holding the biggest stack and the best hand with {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} against the respective {A-}{Q-} that both Roni Grenfell and John Carlson held. The flop came {K-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades} leading Mark Kroon to say "that's a good flop for your hand" and it would hold as the turn and river came {6-Spades}{7-Spades} to give Ferraro the double elimination.

Pamela Wilson Doubles Through Michael Baize

Ryan Franklin opened for a raise and one spot to his left, Pamela Wilson moved all in for slightly more than 30,000. Michael Baize made the call and it was folded back to Franklin who let go of his hand. Wilson turned over {A-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Baize {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}.

Wilson would quickly move into the lead on the {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} flop and would retain the lead on the {4-Hearts} turn. The river was the {8-Diamonds} to secure the much needed double up for Wilson.

Boghosian Shoves on Menes

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Todd Boghosian opened for 4,500 and Matt Menes on the button made it 9,500 to go. Boghosian called and would check to Menes on the {K-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop.

Menes grabbed two yellow T5,000 chips and tossed them into the middle. Boghosian countered by tossing out two of his own T5,000 chips while announcing all in. Menes quickly folded leaving himself with just 21,500 while Boghosian is close to where he started the day with 65,000 in chips.
