Oiberman Hits the Flush

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

The board read {3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} with 20,500 in the middle already.

Nickolas Oiberman bet 21,000 from the big blind and Jacob Horowitz called in the hijack,

The river completed the board with the {7-Diamonds}, Oiberman bet 6,000 this time and Horowitz responded with a raise to 26,000 which Oiberman called. Horowitz tabled {4-Spades}{4-Clubs} for the flopped set of fours. Oiberman quickly turned around his {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for the flush to scoop the pot.

Snell On The Rail

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Day 1a chip leader Jo Snell started Day 2 in the top 10 with more than 100 big blinds, however, he is no longer in contention. Hussein Chamas and Chris Kittos hold a vast majority of his chips with Kittos emerging as one of the new big stacks in the room.

Jason Pritchard also took a hit to his stack when he got into a raising war with Corey Kempson. Pritchard had raised to 60,000 already and folded when Kempson jammed for 223,000.

Putt Doubles; Hanlon Doesn't

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Graeme Putt was all in for the last 35,000 with the {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} and Luke Edwards had the superior stack but inferior hand heading in the showdown, as he turned over the {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

On a board of {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{a-Spades}, Putt secured a double. Gary Benson next to him had previously doubled once more as well and is nearing the average.

One table over there are two seat open as Tien Phan as well as David Hanlon were no longer in contention. Hanlon lost a flip with ace-king against the {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} of Joe Antar, the board came jack-high.

The board read {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds} with around 70,000 in the middle already.

Trevor Godfrey bet 40,500 from the small blind and David Hirst had dived into the tank from the cutoff. After a while, Hirst decided to make the call. Godfrey showed he held {a-Clubs}{9-Spades} for the pair of aces but Hirst held {j-Spades}{10-Spades} for the turned two pair to scoop the pot.

Wakeman Vanishes; Angelakis Thrives

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

The seat of Matthew Wakeman was empty and Con Angelakis was busy trying to rake in a pile of yellow T-5,000 chips. Will Davies was kind enough to provide the details as to what happened.

According to Davies, Angelakis had raised to 10,000 on button and picked up two callers in Wakeman out of the small blind and Chad Awerbuch in the big blind. Wakeman bet the {6-}{5-}{4-} with one heart for 9,000 and Awerbuch folded, Angelakis raised to 25,000 and was called. On the {6-Hearts} turn, Wakeman led for 28,000 and Angelakis called to then face a jam for 135,000 on the {j-Spades} river.

Angelakis tank-called with queens and Wakeman showed {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} to join the rail.
