Fung Over Awerbuch

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Hedley Fung raised to 13,000 from the cutoff and was called by Chad Awerbuch on the button.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, Fung continued with a bet of 15,000 which Awerbuch called.

The turn brought them the {6-Spades}, Fung check-called the 27,000 bet of Awerbuch.

They then both checked through the {9-Diamonds} on the river. Awerbuch tabled {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} but was bested by the {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} of Fung who had flopped top pair and improved to two pair on the turn.

Senic Felted by Kempson

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Andrej Senic
Andrej Senic

Andrej Senic and Corey Kempson had previously tangled already and would just clash again.

Kempson opened to 15,000 and Senic jammed for what appeared to be 165,000, which Kempson called after brief consideration.

Andrej Senic: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Corey Kempson: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The board came {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and the kicker played to send Senic to the rail.

"The Croc" Out Before the Money

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Billy Argyros
Billy Argyros

Billy Argyros, to most Aussie poker players just known as "The Croc" was among the shortest stacks for some time and he eventually just got it in after a limp by Richard Davis from under the gun. Argyros was at risk for 48,000 and Davis called.

Billy Argyros: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Richard Davis: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The board came {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{a-Hearts} and the better kicker played a vital role to send Argyros to the rail before the money. There are just 68 players remaining and the top 63 will get paid.

Tan Eliminated by Colaneri

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Jerome Tan
Jerome Tan

Win Tan got his short stack in from the button and he was called by Christopher Colaneri in the big blind.

It was a flip, as Tan held {2-Clubs}{2-Spades} and faced two overcards in the {a-Spades}{8-Hearts} of Colaneri. The {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop improved Colaneri to two pair, and the {q-Spades} turn and {j-Spades} river changed nothing anymore.

Misaghian Shoves on Awerbuch

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Mazyar Misaghian raised to 14,000 from the middle position and Graeme Putt called in the cutoff. Michael Kanaan called too from the button but Chad Awerbuch three-bet to 48,000 in the big blind. Misaghian responded with a shove for around 280,000.

"I didn't want to play this hand anyways," Putt commented before folding. Kanaan also folded but Awerbuch jumped into the tank as a call would put his tournament life at risk. In the end, Awerbuch folded.

Over on the feature table, Jacob Horowitz could not be found in his seat anymore.
