Rajkumar Eliminated by Dwan

Level 8 : 0/0, 6,000 ante
Vivek Rajkumar
Vivek Rajkumar

Four players limped and action was on Tom Dwan on the button and he checked his option.

The flop was {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{K-Spades} and action checked through to the {A-Hearts} on the turn. There, action checked around again.

On the {9-Spades} river, action checked to Dwan and he put out a bet of 40,000. Vivek Rajkumar was next to act and he shoved all in for 253,000 total. Action folded back to Dwan quickly. Dwan counted out Rajkumar's stack and dropped into the tank, using one full time bank and most of another one before he eventually decided to call.

Rajkumar gave Dwan a fist bump for the nice call and showed his {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. Dwan turned up {A-Clubs}{8-Spades} for three of a kind and that would earn him the pot.

This prompted some laughs from Paul Phua.

"You limped so short," he said laughing.

"I just can't help it sometimes," Rajkumar said.

Dwan raked in the pot and moved over a million chips.

Lamb on a Nub After Missing a Draw

Level 8 : 0/0, 6,000 ante

Under the gun, Peter Jetten limped with {J-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Ben Lamb overlimped with {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. Cary Katz with {Q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Xuan Tan with {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} both joined the action and Richard Yong checked with {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}.

The {J-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} flop saw Lamb flop a combo draw and he fired 40,000. Yong called, blocking the nut flush draw and they went heads-up to the {A-Diamonds} turn.

Lamb checked right at the buzzer and Yong bet 115,000. Lamb had only 222,000 behind and he burned a timebank chip before making the call.

He couldn't get there on the {8-Diamonds} river and had to fold his hand to Yong's shove.

More and More Chips for Dwan

Level 8 : 0/0, 6,000 ante
Tom Dwan
Tom Dwan

After limps from Wai Kin Yong and Paul Phua, Tom Dwan raised to 60,000 from the cutoff. Andrew Robl called on the button and Yong called as well while Phua folded.

The flop was {A-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and action checked around to the {K-Spades} on the turn. There, action checked to Dwan who put out a bet of 105,000. Robl called while Yong folded.

The river was the {8-Spades} and both players checked. Dwan showed his {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and it was good enough to earn him the pot.

Leow Binks a Double

Level 9 : 0/0, 8,000 ante

Phil Ivey limped in the hijack with {8-Spades}{7-Hearts} and Ivan Leow raised to 75,000 in the cutoff. Mikita Badziakouski reraised to 150,000 and called when Leow jammed for 334,000.

Leow: {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Badziakouski: {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

The board of {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} first offered some chop outs to Leow but he scooped it rather all when the {A-Diamonds} hit the river.

Lamb and Katz Survive Against Kings

Level 9 : 0/0, 8,000 ante

Cary Katz open-shoved for 250,000 in the first position, Richard Yong reraised all in for 644,000 in the cutoff and Ben Lamb paused before calling off for his last 300,000.

Katz: {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Yong: {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}
Lamb: {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

Yong was in good shape to score a double knockout but his chips ended up chopped between Katz and Lamb as the board came down {6-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{K-Hearts}. Lamb took the side pot and Yong continued with the shortest stack among the three players.

Leow Doesn't Believe Ivey

Level 9 : 0/0, 8,000 ante

Phil Ivey limped under the gun with {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades} and Ivan Leow made it 60,000 with {A-Clubs}{10-Spades} in the hijack. Ivey called and flopped better on {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{J-Clubs}. They both checked and Ivey hit a boat on {J-Diamonds}. He led out 75,000 and Leow called.

The {K-Spades} fell on the river and Ivey fired 150,000. Leow tried to pick him off, calling but Ivey showed the full house and vaulted to 1.9 million in chips.

Yong and Katz Chop It Up

Level 9 : 0/0, 8,000 ante

Romain Arnaud limped with pocket eights and Richard Yong peeled ace-queen suited in the hijack. He jammed for 348,000 and Cary Katz reshoved for 371,000, holding a dominating hand.

Yong: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Katz: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

Katz didn't like the {Q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flop but was able to recover at least enough to claim a half of the pot as the {6-Diamonds} turn and {8-Hearts} river gave both players a nine-high straight.

Phua Calls Down Robl

Level 9 : 0/0, 8,000 ante

Paul Phau limped in and Andrew Robl followed suit before Wai Kin Yong checked on the button.

The flop was {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Phua led out with a bet of 50,000. This attracted a call from Robl while Yong folded.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and Phua slowed down with a check. Robl put out a bet of 100,000. Phua called.

On the {6-Diamonds} river, Phua checked. Robl thought for a while then checked behind. Phua showed his {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and his two pair would earn him the pot.
