Divided Ireland

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante
Dermot Blain
Dermot Blain

Dermot Blain, Full Tilt Poker Ambassador from Ireland, opened on the button and was three-bet from the big blind by David K Lappin, a full beard ambassador also from Ireland. Blain made the call of the 2,525 bet and they went to a flop of {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{5-Spades}.

Lappin led out for 1,625 and Blain made the call. The turn card was the {k-Clubs} and Lappin perused the board as he riffled a stack of T1000 chips before cutting out a bet of 4,325. Blain had about 12,000 behind and decided to release his hand.

Can’t Katchalov A Club

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Team PokerStars Pro Eugene Katchalov was one of four players in a limped pot who saw a flop of {4-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}.Katchalov was in the big blind and led out a modest 800. Mun Tong Wei from the Isle of Man was rather less modest with his bet, moving all in for just under 8,000.

If folded back round to Katchalov who made the call tabling {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a flush draw and was up against the {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}. The turn was the {a-Diamonds} and the river the {2-Spades}. No help for the Pro as he took a hit to his stack.

Silver Slips

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante
Max Silver
Max Silver

Gabi Livshitz opened the action and was three-bet from the small-blind by Max Silver to 2,200. Livshitz asked how much Silver was playing, he started the hand with 15,000, and made the call.

The flop was {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Silver continued for 1,600. Livshitz called and the turn card was the {9-Hearts}. Silver fired out another bet, this time for 2,800. Livshitz looked pensive but he again made the call. When the river card came the {4-Diamonds} Silver decided to check and Livshitz checked behind.

Silver turned over his {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} resignedly and after a beat Livshitz showed his {5-Spades}{4-Clubs}. Livshitz couldn’t stop a grin breaking out on his face as he dragged the pot.

Razavi Good On River

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

The final board read {k-Spades}{6-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Sam Razavi bet out and faced a shove from Rational Group staff member Michael Booth. At least he meant to shove all in but he had left a small pile of T25 chips behind in the first movement of chips. Razavi called the bet and when Booth tabled {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} Razavi showed him the superior {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}.

Booth then realised he had just 100 left behind and with a slightly embarrassed chuckle checked his next hole cards and mucked them.
