Belgian on Belgian Action

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

On a flop of {6-Spades}{J-Spades}{8-Spades} we saw Davy De Cooman check to his country man Wouter Schuurbiers in the cutoff. Schuurbiers bet out 1,500 and De Cooman check raised to 3,000. Schuurbiers made the call.

The {2-Diamonds} fell on the turn and De Cooman bet out a hefty 7,000. Schuurbiers again made the call.

The {K-Diamonds} completed the board and De Cooman bet out 11,200. Schuurbiers thought about it for some time before folding while saying "Only aces". De Cooman showed {10-Spades}{9-Spades} for the flopped flush and they were of to the next hand.

The next hand saw the player under the gun open for 600. De Cooman sat right next to him and three bet to 1,300. Action folded back to the player under the gun and he made the call. The initial raiser continued to check call 1,700 on {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and 2,400 on the {5-Spades} turn.

The {3-Clubs} on the river made both players check and the player under the gun showed {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}. De Cooman tabled {J-Spades}{J-Hearts} and took it down.

Larsen Takes One Down

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

We arrived as the flop was already on the table reading {Q-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}. The small blind bet 2,600 in the already sizable pot after what must have been some hefty action before the flop. Rasmus Agerskov Larsen made the call in position.

The {2-Spades} fell on the turn and the small blind now bet 6,500. Larsen, seated in the cutoff, thought for some time. He leaned back a little bit, put a single 25 chip on his cards to protect them, and contemplated what to do. He eventually made the call.

{Q-Hearts} on the river and the small blind checked by softly tapping the table with his index finger. Larsen bet out 6,900 and the small blind almost immediately folded while shaking his head.

The player in the hijack made it 400 and Jannick Wrang in the small blind made the call. The big blind came along as well and all three of them checked on {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

The turn came the {3-Diamonds} and Wrang and the big blind checked again. The initial raiser bet 500 and Wrang made the call, the big blind folded.

The {J-Hearts} fell on the river and Wrang checked. His opponent checked behind. With a glimpse of hope on his face Wrang showed {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. That wasn't good enough though, the initial raiser showed {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and took it down. Wrang is still up for the day, he sits on a stack of about 33,000.
