Mudassar Khan
Mudassar Khan

Day 1a chip leader Mudassar Khan was down to his last 310,000 and moved in from first position. Action folded to the small blind and he asked for a count. Eventually the small blind folded, but big blind Srdan Andric did call.

Mudassar Khan: {A-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Srdan Andric: {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Khan made his exit in 11th place.

Soren Blanner Eliminated in 10th Place (€6,259)

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Soren Blanner
Soren Blanner

Patrick Coughlin was first to act and made it 90,000 to go. Soren Blanner in the cutoff three-bet to 225,000 and action folded to Coughlin. The American asked how much Blanner started the hand with (about a million, he said) and then moved all in. Blanner double checked his cards one last time and called.

Patrick Coughlin: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Soren Blanner: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}

The flop came a harmless {Q-Spades}{4-Hearts}{K-Hearts} and the two involved parties both got up from the table.

The {7-Diamonds} on the turn was anything but a blank and Blanner shouted "Nein! Nein! Nein!"

Coughlin, in awe, turned to the rail in full disbelief.

The {3-Spades} on the river was a blank and Blanner had been eliminated. He collapsed and sat hanging on his chair for a good minute before he made his way to the payout desk.

Blanner, a longtime Unibet Open player, collects €6,259 for his efforts. The remaining 9 players are guaranteed €7,011 from here on out.

Rune Thomson Eliminated in 9th Place (€7,011), Alexandru Dan Nistor Eliminated in 8th Place (€8,757)

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Rune Thomson shoved all in for 410,000 with {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and walked away from the table. Robin Sevastik behind him made the call with {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} and Alexandru Dan Nistor over shoved for a little more with {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}. Sevastik made the call to make it a three-way showdown.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Sevastik picked up a flush draw. The {K-Clubs} on the turn hit him in both spots and the {6-Hearts} on the river didn't change a thing anymore.

Two eliminations in the same hand. Rune Thomson eliminated in 9th place (€7,011), Alexandru Dan Nistor eliminated in 8th place (€8,757).

Patrick Coughlin Eliminated in 7th Place (€10,946)

Level 26 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Patrick Coughlin
Patrick Coughlin

Patrick Coughlin announced all in, pushing 690,000 forward with {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}. He found a customer behind him as Robin Sevastik called with {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. It was a classic coinflip with the last American at risk.

The flop came {7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, not doing much for Coughlin.

The {A-Spades} on the turn and {5-Clubs} on the river didn't help him either and he made his exit in 7th place.

Level 26 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Srdan Andric
Srdan Andric

Daniel Wittikko raised his button to 170,000 with {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and big blind Srdan Andric called with {J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

The flop came {6-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Andric checked. Wittikko bet 160,000 and Andric called.

The {3-Clubs} on the turn had Andric check again. Wittikko bet 375,000 into the 760,000 pot and Andric answered with a check-raise to 960,000.

Wittikko moved all in and after a little while, Andric called.

Andric needed to hit but failed to do so with the {2-Spades} on the river.

"Yes!" shouted Wittikko while Andric shook some hands and made his exit.

Down to 5 players, all guaranteed €17,783.

Level 27 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante
Robin Sevastik
Robin Sevastik

Joni Liimatta, having seen people fold big hands a lot, put the pressure on pushing all in with {J-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

Robin Sevastik wasn't into folding as much as some others, though, and called with {K-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

The board came {3-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and with the jack on the turn, Liimatta eliminated his opponent.
