Hoff Hansen Busts in Strange Fashion

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

On the river of a board {Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, Bjorn Hoff Hansen string-bet 25,000 with a single T-5,000 chip hitting the table first. The dealer announced it as a bet of 5,000 first but Silviu Baltateanu inquired and the floor was called, it was subsequently ruled as a bet of 25,000 that stood.

Without announcing anything, Baltateanu slid forward a bet of 45,000 and, since it was more than 50%, that was a forced min-raise to 50,000. Hoff Hansen called and mucked when being shown {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}, his remaining 12,000 chips vanished soon after.

Solyom Exits

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Vinod Jadav three-bet from 4,000 to 11,000 and jammed a king-high flop with pocket aces. Linus Hjulstrom called with pocket jacks for a set and an ace on the river gave Jadav the double.

Right after, Nandor Solyom three-bet jammed for just a few big blinds with {Q-}{10-} and Silviu Baltatenu called with ace-ten, shutting down all hopes of a comeback with an ace on the flop.

Zota Doubles

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

While Tom Lerner was sent to the rail, Ionut Zota was more fortunate.

Down to his last 57,800 he got it in with {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Marius-Serban Moldoveanu looked him up with the superior stack and the {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. Zota left his chair and was on the way out, but spiked an ace on the board of {A-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} to double.

Bartha Lazar Takes the Lead

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

While Cristinel Dumitru and Sandro Spaccarotella were eliminated, a bigger pot played out between big stacks Martin von Zweigbergk and Tudor Bartha Lazar.

Lazar check-raised the {9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{10-Hearts} turn out of the small blind from 14,000 to 45,000 and von Zweigbergk called. "This is a chip leader pot," the Finn said. The {7-Clubs} fell on the river and Lazar bet 51,000. It took some time but von Zweigbergk eventually folded. "I had ace high, is that good?" the Finn asked in table chat but got no answer.

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

On the tail end of a hand between Catalin Diac and Lazar Tudor Bartha, the former called a bet of 14,000 by Bartha on the river of a board {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and mucked when he was shown {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} by Bartha.

Right after, Martin von Zweigbergk arrived with his big stack and a fresh beer in the hand.
