Ionut Mihaila: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

Lappin's Kings Get Cracked

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
David Lappin
David Lappin

There is no reason to smile unfortunately, as David Lappin has just been eliminated in cruel fashion. Yasen Dichev had raised and Lappin three-bet small to 13,500 on the button. Vladut Paun called in then small blind and Dichev four-bet to around 35,000. Lappin moved all in to force a fold from Paun, while Dichev called with the far superior stack.

David Lappin: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Yasen Dichev: {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}

The board came {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and the jack on the turn spelled the end for Lappin before the money.

Dor Lan raised and called the shoves of Jan-Willem Nijmeijer and big blind Marius-Serban Moldoveanu for effectively 16 big blinds with pocket kings. Moldoveanu had queens and Nijmeijer the {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}. The board ran out {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Nijmeijer essentially tripled up.

Soon after, Jose Luis Capdevila shoved for 25,000 from the small blind and Catalin Pop peeked at his cards before quickly calling with the {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. Capdevila turned over {10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and the board came {J-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{A-Spades}. The table was left short-handed but another table broke soon to make it full ring again, the next casualties are to follow shortly.

Over on the feature table, Kevin Teller raised from under the gun and was called by Jan-Willem Nijmeijer on the button. The flop fell {A-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Teller continued for 25,000 with the Dutchman calling. After the {5-Diamonds} turn, Teller moved all in for around 90,000 and Nijmeijer snap-called.

Kevin Teller: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Jan-Willem Nijmeijer: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}

As soon as the cards were tabled, Nijmeijer said "good game" as the eSports Star, known as Papaplatte, was drawing dead. A meaningless {6-Hearts} completed the board and Teller headed to the payout desk.

Asanache shoved soon after for 135,000 with {K-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Tom Vogelsang called with the {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} to see the board run out {J-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{J-Spades}{6-Hearts}.

Marian Strachinescu was left with fewer than one big blind when his {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} ended up second-best to Bartlomiej Gorzolka, who held {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and hit a full house on the board {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}.

Down to 4,000, Strachinescu shoved with {Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Gorzolka raised to 40,000 with {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}.
