Steve Watts Eliminated

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Steve Watts
Steve Watts

The always entertaining Steve Watts was nurturing the short stack throughout the day and got a barrage of all-ins through uncontested. The first time Watts did get called it was over right away.

Watts' final 35,000 went in with {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and a player looked him up with {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}. The board brought a trey but also a jack to sent the Brit packing.

Mateusz Moolhuizen Eliminated

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Mateusz Moolhuizen, Winner of Unibet Antwerp 2015
Mateusz Moolhuizen, Winner of Unibet Antwerp 2015

We caught the tail end of a massive hand between Mateusz Moolhuizen and Vishal Maini, which left the two-time Unibet Open winner with nothing after the dust had settled.

According to Maini, the hand went as follows. Maini raised in early position and Moolhuizen defended his big blind. On the {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} flop, Moolhuizen checked, Maini bet 5,000 into a pot of 19,000 and Moolhuizen called.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and Moolhuizen checked again. Maini bet 15,000 and Moolhuizen check-raised to 45,000. The Brit smooth-called the raise in position.

On the {3-Spades} river, Moolhuizen thought for a while before shoving all in around 80,000. Maini snap-called and had Moolhuizen slightly covered.

Mateusz Moolhuizen: {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Vishal Maini: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}

It was a case of ill timing for Moolhuizen, who ran into the stone cold nuts. With the scalp, Maini skyrocketed to 290,000 and Moolhuizen quickly left the tournament area.

Jordon Under Maximum Pressure

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Terry Jordon
Terry Jordon

Arno Simon raised to 9,000 in middle position. Wenbin Chen three-bet to 22,000 from the cutoff. Terry Jordon cold-called from the small blind and Simon called as well.

The flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Jordon led out 30,000. Simon called and Chen folded after some thought. Jordon checked the {5-Hearts} turn to Simon, who bet 45,000. The start-of-the-day chipleader came along with the call.

The river was the {4-Hearts} and Jordon checked again.

"All-in", the Frenchman said within mere seconds.

Simon had Jordon covered, and the Brit was facing a decision for his tournament life seven places before the bubble. It was 152,000 to call for Jordon, who thought for nearly four minutes before open-folding {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}.
