Ireland Eliminated by McKeown

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Steven McKeown raised preflop and made the call after Deborah Ireland moved all in for just 8,000.

McKeown: {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Ireland: {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

Board: {2-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{10-Spades}

Ireland was in a flip for her tournament life, and saw the flop and turn fall in her favor, but at the last McKeown paired his ten and took the lead to ultimately eliminate Ireland.

Southavong Eliminated by Alessi

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The completed board was down {8-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{q-Spades}, and Christian Alessi bet enough to put Bruno Southavong all in.

Southavong contemplated his decision for a minute before he called and saw the bad news.

Alessi tabled {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a full house and Southavong open-mucked {a-}{6-} before he departed from the table.

Mazerolle Flops a House

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

The flop fell {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{10-Spades}, and three players checked before Martin Bader bet 2,200 from the button.

Hugues Mazerolle called from the big blind, and the other two players involved opted to fold.

The turn came the {7-Spades} and both players checked, with the river revealed to be the {2-Spades}.

"I have a seven," said Bader after Mazerolle had checked, but when they went to a showdown, Bader saw he was way behind.

Mazerolle tabled {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the flopped full house, and Bader mucked before Mazerolle picked up the pot.

Kimber River Raise

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Jeff Kimber
Jeff Kimber

Jeff Kimber checked from the big blind with the flop down {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades} and saw Pavlos Xanthopoulos bet from under the gun.

Kimber made the call, and the turn revealed the {10-Clubs}. Kimber once again check-called a bet from Xanthopoulos, this time for 4,500.

The river card fell the {4-Diamonds}, and Kimber checked for the third time. Xanthopoulos fired his third barrel worth 11,000, and Kimber thought for 30 seconds before he raised to 21,000.

With the decision back on Xanthopoulos, he went into the tank and needed close to a minute before he gave up and folded.

Kimber clawed in the pot and moved up to 85,000.

Bastow vs. Kimber

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

The action was opened with a raise to 2,000 from the cutoff and both Frank Bastow, on the button, and Jeff Kimber, in the small blind, called.

Bastow bet 2,500 after the flop fell {7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{a-Hearts} and only Kimber called.

Both players checked after the turn fell the {4-Hearts} and when the river revealed the {a-Clubs}, Kimber check-called a 2,500 bet from Bastow.

Bastow showed {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}, and Kimber open folded the {a-Diamonds}.

Kings for Dunnett

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Stephen Dunnett raised to 2,100 from early position and saw Adolis Grigunas three-bet all in for 27,000 from the next. The action quickly folded back around to Dunnett, and he snap-called.

Grigunas: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Dunnett: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

Board: {k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Dunnett held the preflop lead and improved to top set after the flop fell. Grigunas was unable to find a miracle as the board completed, and he was left with just 2,400.
