Weijie Zheng shoved the hijack with a pair of sixes, only to run into Alex Hendriks on the button with queens. The board bricked out for Zheng, and he left the stage to collect €15,730 for 5th place.

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Espen Jorstad
Espen Jorstad

After the previous hand against Alex Hendriks, Espen Jorstad was very short stacked. He put close to half his stack in for the next big blind and called off with {j-Spades}{2-Diamonds} when Weijie Zheng shoved the cutoff with {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

There was no help on the board for Jorstad, who departed in 6th place for €12,100.

Ciaran Burke Eliminated in 7th Place (€9,680)

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Ciaran Burke
Ciaran Burke

Steven Vollers opened from the hijack to 120,000, and Ciaran Burke shoved the cutoff for 700,000. It folded back to Vollers, and he made the call.

Burke wasn't in great shape with {j-}{10-} against the {a-}{j-} of Vollers, and while the {6-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} board provided some extra equity for Burke, he couldn't get there. Burke won €9,680 for 7th place.

Jamie Nixon Eliminated in 8th Place (€7,740)

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Jamie Nixon
Jamie Nixon

Samuel Baneham was under the gun when he raised to 100,000. Alex Hendriks called from the button before Jamie Nixon elected to shove the small blind for 615,000. Baneham quickly called, and Hendriks got out of the way just as quickly.

Nixon was in a gross spot, facing pocket tens for Baneham versus his own pocket fours. There was no help on the {j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds} board and Nixon was forced to the cage to collect €7,740 for 8th place.

Wim Wesselink Eliminated in 9th Place (€6,190)

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Wim Wesselink
Wim Wesselink

Samuel Baneham opened from the cutoff to 100,000, and Wim Wesselink came over top with a shove from the small blind. Baneham called it off with the bigger stack, and Wesselink was in rough shape with his {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} up against {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts} for Baneham.

The {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop gave Wesselink a little hope, but the {k-Clubs} turn and {6-Clubs} river bricked out for him.

Wesselink won €6,190 for 9th place.

Jason Tompkins
Jason Tompkins

It folded to Steven Vollers in the small blind and he shoved his stack of about 500,000. That covered Jason Tompkins in the big, and he hit the tank for several minutes before finally putting in the call.

It was a decent spot for Tompkins, as he had {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} against the {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} of Vollers, but the board of {5-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} was unkind to Tompkins, and his day was done in 10th place for €5,390.

Jamie Nixon opened under the gun to 40,000, and Niall Farrell shoved from his big blind. Nixon called off quickly and it was a race situation with Farrell holding sixes against the big slick of Nixon.

The board of {5-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades} went in Nixon's favour and Farrell was off to the payouts desk to collect €5,390.

Side Event Action Today

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Day 3 Schedule
Day 3 Schedule

In addition to the final day of the Main Event, there will be lots of other poker action going on today. The Mini ME is already underway, with a 30,000 chip stack and 15 minute blinds. Action is just ticking over into Level 4 with 49 total entries so far, and 46 stacks still in play.

At 4PM today, a €100 + €100 + €20 Progressive Knockout kicks off. They'll play 15 minute blind levels with a 15,000 chip start stack in a progressive bounty format that is common online, but less common in live poker.

The other tournament in action today is Day 2 of the Unibet Super Stack. They played down to the money on Day 1 yesterday, and so 15 players return today to battle it out for the prizes.

Here's a look at how the stacks break down for Day 2 of the Super Stack.
