Wim Wesselink Eliminated in 9th Place (€6,190)

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Wim Wesselink
Wim Wesselink

Samuel Baneham opened from the cutoff to 100,000, and Wim Wesselink came over top with a shove from the small blind. Baneham called it off with the bigger stack, and Wesselink was in rough shape with his {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} up against {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts} for Baneham.

The {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop gave Wesselink a little hope, but the {k-Clubs} turn and {6-Clubs} river bricked out for him.

Wesselink won €6,190 for 9th place.

Vollers Takes from Burke in Blind on Blind Action

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Steven Vollers
Steven Vollers

It folded to Steven Vollers in the small blind and he completed. Ciaran Burke checked his option in the big, and the heads up flop came {5-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}.

Vollers check-called a bet of 50,000 on the flop, and they both checked the {8-Hearts} turn. The {10-Diamonds} river saw Vollers lead out for 65,000, and Burke called, =mucking when he saw {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} in Vollers' hand.

Jorstad Shoves His Big

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Unibet Ambassador Espen Jorstad is the short stack at the table, and after Ciaran Burke raised the cutoff to 80,000 in the final hand of Level 24, and Alex Hendriks called from the button, Jorstad shoved for 420,000 in the big blind.

Both Burke and Hendriks tanked for a minute or so each, but ultimately, Jorstad was able to add the blinds and antes, plus a raise and a call to his stack for a much needed chip-up.

Jamie Nixon Eliminated in 8th Place (€7,740)

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Samuel Baneham was under the gun when he raised to 100,000. Alex Hendriks called from the button before Jamie Nixon elected to shove the small blind for 615,000. Baneham quickly called, and Hendriks got out of the way just as quickly.

Nixon was in a gross spot, facing pocket tens for Baneham versus his own pocket fours. There was no help on the {j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds} board and Nixon was forced to the cage to collect €7,740 for 8th place.
