In the Money

After a grueling bubble that went on for more than two hours, they are finally in the money. Short stacks have been doubling at every opportunity, but the run had to come to an end eventually.

Cedric Freling called off his short stack in the cutoff after a middle position raise from Steven Vollers that covered Freling's stack of 11,000. After all the other action on other tables was complete, they revealed the hands, and Freling was ahead with pocket queens against the {a-Spades}{j-Clubs} of Vollers.

That all changed on the flop of {2-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{a-} but the {4-Spades} turn gave outs to a chop to keep Freling alive. The river {6-Clubs} wasn't any help for Freling though, and he was the final person to bust before the money.

Vollers Pulls in Huge Pot to Crack One Million Chips

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Weijie Zheng opened to 20,000 from under the gun, and it folded around to Steven Vollers on the button. He reraised to 65,000, and after a few seconds thought, Zheng called to see {10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{a-Hearts} on the flop.

Both players checked the flop, but Zheng fired 75,000 on the {a-Spades} turn. Vollers called, and called again on the {5-Hearts} river when Zheng led for 170,000. Zheng showed down a black six-seven bluff, and Vollers raked in a big pot with {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}.

Zheng Spikes Quads on the Turn

All the chips went in on an ace-nine-blank flop, with Weijie Zheng flopping the worst set with pocket nines against the top set of Tompkins with aces. The turn card was the case nine though, improving Zheng to quads. Tompkins was unable to find the final ace in the deck on the flop and he was forced to double Zheng up.

Burke Rivers it Against Hardcastle

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Jack Hardcastle opened the betting to 22,000 from the cutoff but Ciaran Burke came over top with a raise to 65,000 from the button. The blinds got out of the way, and Hardcastle called to see {k-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades} on the flop.

Hardcastle check-called Burke's 34,000 flop bet, and they both checked the {6-Hearts} turn. They both checked again on the {a-Clubs} and Burke showed down ace-ten for rivered top pair, and Hardcastle showed an eight as he mucked his hand.

"I knew it was a really bad river," he added as the dealer was shuffling for the next hand.

Break Time

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Its time for another 20 minute break with the end of Level 18. The plan for Day 2 was to play down to a final table, but with the exceptionally long bubble today, they've decided to play till the end of Level 20 and stop for the night no matter how many players still remain. However, if they play down to 9 players before then, they'll stop play early.

The official final table at Unibet events is eight-handed, but they will combine to a single table with nine players remaining. The structure on the final day will also vary depending on the players remaining. From nine-handed to seven-handed they will continue to play 1 hour levels. At six handed, they will reduce the level time to 45 minutes, and when there are just three players remaining, they will reduce again to 30 minute blinds.
