Event #16: Unibet Superstack

The two day Superstack event is well into their Day 1, with 119 total runners taking their shot. With play in Level 13, they are now down to 29 remaining with 15 cashing spots available. The first player to cash in 15th place will win €630, with €9,900 up top for the winner. Unibet is well represented in the Superstack with two ambassadors, Dara O'Kearney and David Lappin, still in action.

Event #19: Irish Poker

The last side event of the day is a local variant called Irish poker. All players get dealt four cards preflop, but once the flop betting is over, they must choose two cards from their hand to discard. The Main Event is now down to 16 players remaining. The plan is to play until the end of Level 20, but given that they are down to two tables relatively early, its possible they will play down to nine before then.

Henrik Tellving was able to turn a online qualifying package into €3,630 with his 17th place finish.

Hendriks Doubles Through Silver

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Alex Hendriks
Alex Hendriks

It was blind on blind when Alex Hendriks decided to limp in from the small blind. Max Silver thought about it for a bit in the big, and then raised enough to put Hendriks all in. Hendriks quickly called off for 215,000 and tabled {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} versus the {k-Spades}{9-Spades} of Silver.

Silver couldn't find enough help on the {4-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} board, and Hendriks doubled up to more than 400,000.

Max Silver Eliminated in 16th Place for €4,070

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Max Silver raised from early position to 30,000, leaving himself just 7,000 behind. It folded to Jack Hardcastle on the button, and he raised to 48,000. The blinds got out of the way, and Solver tossed in his last few chips for the call.

It was a not-so-classic race as Silver was playing {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} against the pocket tens of Hardcastle. The board came {8-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Spades} to send Silver home in 16th place.

Pasi Kakkonen Eliminated in 13th for €4,680

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Pasi Kakkonen

Pasi Kakkonen got the rest of his chips in with a good chance to double, shoving tens and getting called by the eights of Martin Olali. However, poker isn't played with two cards, and when an eight came on the flop, Olali jumped ahead. Kakkonen never managed to catch up, and so he was off to the payout desk to collect €4,680.
