Nadarzewski Busts in Cruel Fashion

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Marcin Nadarzewski
Marcin Nadarzewski

There were some gasps over on table six when a three-way all-in unfolded with Marcin Nadarzewski as the shortest stack involved. Filip Holmqvist was the second-shortest and both were covered by Shucheng Shen as the following cards were revealed.

Marcin Nadarzewski: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Filip Holmqvist: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Shucheng Shen: {j-}{j-}

The {k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{9-Clubs} board gave Holmqvist quads and sealed Nadarzewski's fate in spectacular fashion.

Adelstein, Lew Tell Contrasting Stories Regarding Controversial HCL Hand

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Hustler Casino Live Hand
Hustler Casino Live Hand

Garrett Adelstein and Robbi Jade Lew have both issued public statements regarding what transpired following the infamous Thursday night hero call on Hustler Casino Live, and their accounts don't seem to match up.

Cliff's Notes version of what took place during what was supposed to be a stream focused on Phil Ivey: On a board of {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}, Adelstein bet $10,000 with {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} before Lew, holding {j-Clubs}{4-Hearts}, min-raised to $20,000 only for her opponent to move all in for $129,000 total. She tanked and inevitably called with jack-high, and then won both river run-outs to scoop the $269,000 pot.

Parkkinen Scores a Fortunate Double

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Kalle Parkkinen got the last 10,900 in from an early position and he was flat-called by Paul Kristoffersson on the button. The big blind asked how much the latter played but sent the cards into the muck.

Kalle Parkkinen: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Paul Kristoffersson: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

The {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop vaulted Parkkinen into the lead but he had plenty of outs to dodge. That was the case thanks to the {4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} runout on turn and river as the Finn escaped from elimination.

Tiihonen Jams Up his Stack Against Herboldt

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

In the last hand before the end of the level, Dutchman Justin Herboldt was put into the wringer by Julius Tiihonen. They created a pot of around 55,000 to the {q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{9-Spades}{10-Spades} on which Herboldt checked with just shy of the starting stack behind.

Tiihonen then pushed all-in with the superior stack and Herboldt tank-folded the {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} face-up for everybody to see.

Not the Right Odds for Wheatley

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On a heads-up flop of {q-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}, Raymond Wheatley checked his option and then called a bet worth 2,200 by John Hunter. The {9-Diamonds} fell on the turn and Wheatley checked once more.

Hunter now bet 6,200 and that sent Wheatley into a brief tank. "You are not giving me the right odds," he admitted and then folded the {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} face-up with an above-average stack at his disposal.

"I could have gotten in trouble there, you won't believe it," Hunter replied before raking in the pot with a smile on the face.

Adriaans Chips Back Up Through Frame

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Kevin Frame made it 2,500 to go and Egi Adriaans three-bet to 7,200 out of the blinds for Frame to call. As they headed to the {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{10-Spades} flop, a near instant continuation bet worth 10,500 followed and Frame came along.

The {q-Spades} turn paired the board and Adriaans wasted little time before grabbing into his stack. He changed his mind about the exact bet sizing and then pushed forward a second barrel worth 17,200.

Frame pondered about the decision for a couple of seconds and then elected to fold, pushing his cards towards the muck. "I show if you show," Adriaans asked but Frame just shook his head. "You can show if you want," the Scotsman replied and none of the cards were exposed.
