Salon Chips Up With a Nice Flop

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Lukasz Sadlon battled with Ronnie Espensen and had some value paid off on the flop and turn of a {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} board. However, there wasn't much ado on the final community card when they checked it down. Sadlon exposed the {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for the second nut flush and Espensen grinned, mucked with the words "nice flop".

Both have become the biggest stacks on the table ahead of the known Dutch players Alex Hendriks and Egi Adriaans.

Efficient O'Kearney Chops for some Profit

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Three ways to the {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop, Dara O'Kearney check-called a bet worth 1,500 by Cristian Birladeanu while Siddhart Sudunagunta got out of the way. The Unibet ambassador checked again the {10-Diamonds} on the turn and called a bet worth 2,000.

Both then checked the {j-Hearts} river and O'Kearney's {a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} chopped, as the dominating {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} of Birladeanu was forced to chop after being counterfeited.

Slow and steady as usual, the Irishman is aiming to finish with more chips than fellow ambassador David Lappin who is currently on co-commentary for the live stream table.

Cuti Doubles; Reard Busts on the Feature Table

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Aurelie Reard
Aurelie Reard

In multi-way action, Alfredo Cuti only flat-called a preflop raise with the {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and that also brought along Oliver Said with the {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. They got it in after the {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{a-Diamonds} turn when Cuti jammed for 11,600 into a bet of 2,500 by Said, who sigh-called with his open-ender and pair.

The {a-Hearts} was a brick and Cuti doubled.

One hand later, Aurelie Reard raised to 2,000 with the {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and Alexandru Budai three-bet to 6,500 with the {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}. Reard four-bet jammed for 19,300 and Budai called.

They were flipping for it and the {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{10-Spades}{k-Hearts} runout sealed her fate eventually. She had lost most of her chips to Budai when they were still on the outer table and the Romanian finished the job to further increase his stack.

Grupposo Takes All Chips Off Ulanov

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Heads-up to the {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} turn, Giuseppe Grupposo check-called a bet worth 2,200 by Eugene Ulanov. Both headed to the {8-Hearts} river on which Grupposo checked again. Ulanov now bet 5,500 with 7,000 behind and received a call.

There was, however, no showdown as Ulanov mucked and forfeited the pot to be left with a short stack. In the very next hand, Ulanov got the last chips in with {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and Grupposo looked him up with the {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}. An eight-high board brought no help to the Malta resident and Grupposo finished the job he had started.

Fabian Chops With Blanner

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Three ways to the {k-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts} turn, Eszter Fabian bet 6,000 and was called by Yannick Bornebroek in the cutoff, Soren Blanner also called on the button.

Fabian then bet the {a-Hearts} on the river for another 10,000 and Bornebroek folded. Blanner opted to call and chopped with his {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} as Fabian had the equally strong {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} for aces and kings.

John Hunter

Three ways to the {7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{6-Hearts} turn, Jan Henriksson got the last 6,600 in out of the big blind. He was looked up only by John Hunter from an early position and the cards were flipped over.

"I have four outs," Henriksson said when he tabled his {8-Spades}{4-Spades} for a gutshot. Hunter was miles ahead with the {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and further improved to a set on the {j-Hearts} river.

Olejnik Next to Fall

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

The cards of Tomasz Olejnik were already pulled into the muck and the remainder of his short stack was pushed from seat eight to one. That happened to be John Muxlow, who had the best of it with {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} on a board of {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts}.

Close to the dinner break, the eliminations eventually keep pouring in as the Day 1b field is trimmed down after all.
