Ionescu Takes a Big One with a Set
Level 5
: Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Bogdan Ionescu opened to 1,200 from middle position, but Kevin Quinlan three-bet to 2,800 from the big blind.
He was called, so both players saw the flop A♣2♠5♦, checking it. On the turn 9♠, Quinlan bet 3,200, and Ionescu called again.
Quinlan bet an additional 5,000 on the river 7♣. However, this time, Ionescu raised to 15,000. Quinlan went into the tank and eventually called with A♠Q♣. But Ionescu had 2♦2♥ for a set.
