Gorodinsky Makes a Tough Call to Chop

Level 20 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Andjelko Andrejevic ({A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}) raised to 125,000 from the cutoff and Mike Gorodinsky ({Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}) defended his big blind. Andrejevic caught top two on the {7-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop while Gorodinsky had an open-ended straight draw in addition to his overpair. Both players, however, checked. The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and Gorodinsky now had a straight. He led out 120,000, earning a call from his opponent.

The {9-Hearts} river was a tricky card for Gorodinsky who checked to Andrejevic. Andrejevic bet 300,000, and while both players had the same straight, Gorodinsky faced a tough decision. He burned another time extension but eventually made the call, chopping with Andrejevic.
