Negreanu Takes a Stand

Level 13 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Dan Smith raised to 18,000 in the cutoff with {k-Spades}{j-Hearts} and was called by Daniel Negreanu in the small blind with {10-Spades}{9-Spades}. Tom Marchese also came along with the suited {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} in the big blind to make it a three-way pot.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and the action checked around to the {10-Diamonds} on the turn. Negreanu led out for 16,000 which was called by Marchese. Smith raised to 75,000 putting the action back on Negreanu. He made it 282,000 to go and got Marchese and Smith to muck their hands.
