Cheong Doubles to Leave Cappello Short

Level 24 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Joseph Cheong jammed the small blind holding the {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and Joseph Cappello called from the big with the {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}.

It was a flip but not after the {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{q-Hearts} flop gave Cheong top two. Neither the {9-Hearts} turn nor {9-Clubs} river helped Cappello and he sent over most of his chips.

Winter Doubles Through Cheong

Level 24 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Joseph Cheong moved all in for 1.4 million from under the gun and Sean Winter called off for 1.05 million in the big blind.

Cheong: {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Winter: {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Cheong was crushed and failed to get lucky as the board ran out {a-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Hearts}. Winter doubled and Cheong was left with just 470,000.

In the very next hand, Stephen Chidwick moved all in from the button with the {k-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Cheong called off from the big blind with the {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. The board ran out {6-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{5-Spades}{q-Clubs} and Cheong rivered a straight to stay alive.

Winter Doubles Through Chidwick

Level 23 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick raised to 200,000 under the gun and Sean Winter three-bet all in for 600K from the button. Both blinds folded and Chidwick called.

Chidwick: {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Winter: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

The {9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop gave Chidwick a little something, but that was all the help he got as the {J-Clubs} turn and {7-Diamonds} river gave Winter the double.

Lazaro Hernandez moved all in for 985,000 from the button and Stephen Chidwick called from the small blind.

Chidwick: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Hernandez: {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Hernandez had a kicker problem and it didn't get resolved as the board ran out {4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{3-Clubs}. He shook hands with Chidwick and then took his leave from the final table.
