Martin Zamani Eliminated in 3rd Place ($83,200)

Level 23 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Martin Zamani - 3rd Place
Martin Zamani - 3rd Place

Jordan Cristos raised the small blind and Martin Zamani got his stack of 500K all in.

Cristos: {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}
Zamani: {9-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}

The {j-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} gave Cristos trip sevens and just like that Zamani was drawing dead. The meaningless {J-Diamonds} turn and {6-Hearts} river were run out on the board and Zamani headed for the exit.

Cristos enters heads-up play against Manig Loeser with nearly a 3:1 chip lead.

Adam Hendrix Eliminated in 4th Place ($64,000)

Adam Hendrix - 4th Place
Adam Hendrix - 4th Place

A short-stacked Adam Hendrix raised the small blind to 240,000 and called off for a little more when Jordan Cristos three-bet from the big.

Hendrix: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Cristos: {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}

The {3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{k-Hearts} flop gave Cristos a set and Hendrix was looking to fill a gutshot. The {6-Hearts} turn didn't do it and neither did the {A-Diamonds} turn. With that, Cristos scored another knock out and Hendrix headed for the exit.

Cary Katz Eliminated in 5th Place ($51,200)

Level 22 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Cary Katz - 5th Place
Cary Katz - 5th Place

Cary Katz raised the button to 280,000 holding {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Jordan Cristos defended the big blind holding {10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}.

When the flop came down {5-Clubs}{6-Spades}{k-Diamonds}, Cristos bet pot with his two pair and Katz called off for 405,000.

The {6-Diamonds} turn gave Cristos a full house and left Katz looking for an ace on the river, but it wasn't in the cards as the {2-Diamonds} bricked.

Katz, who finished sixth in the same event last year, took his leave in fifth place for $51,200.

One Pair Good Enough to Give Zamani a Double

Level 22 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Martin Zamani got his stack of 495,000 all in preflop and was flipping for his tournament life against Adam Hendrix.

Hendrix: {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Zamani: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Spades}

The {7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{a-Spades} flop gave Zamani a pair of aces, but the {5-Hearts} turn did give Hendrix a flush draw. The {J-Diamonds} river was a brick and Zamani shipped the double.

Zamani Left Short After Folding Flush on River

Level 22 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Martin Zamani limped the small blind with the {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Manig Loeser checked his option with the {10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}.

The {10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop gave Loeser a boat and he bet 80,000 after Zamani checked. Zamani called with his flush draw and hit it on the {7-Diamonds} turn, though it was no good. Zamani check-called a bet of 170,000 and the {K-Diamonds} completed the board on ther river.

Zamani checked and Loeser bet pot, which put Zamani to the test for his last 495,000. Zamani burned through several time extensions and ultimately folded.

Katz Getting Short

Level 21 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Cary Katz limped the cutoff holding the {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and Jordan Cristos came along from the small blind with the {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}. Martin Zamani checked his option with {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and three players saw a flop of {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, which they all checked.

When the {3-Diamonds} appeared on the turn, Cristos led out for 175,000, Zamani folded, and Katz called to see the {6-Clubs} river. Both players checked and Cristos was pushed the pot with two pair.

Sean Winter Eliminated in 6th Place ($38,400)

Level 21 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Sean Winter - 6th Place
Sean Winter - 6th Place

Jordan Cristos raised to 200,000 on the button with the {k-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Sean Winter defended his big blind with the {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}.

When the flop fell {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{j-Spades}, Winter bet 275,000 and then called off for 375,000 total when Cristos raised. The {Q-Clubs} turn meant both players made Broadway, but both had redraws.

The {Q-Spades} river gave Cristos his as he made a flush and sent Winter to the rail in sixth place. It marked back-to-back cashes for Winter after he finished runner-up to Stephen Chidwick in Event #1: $10,000 NLH.
