Seth Davies Eliminated in 3rd Place ($67,200)

Level 21
Seth Davies - 3rd Place
Seth Davies - 3rd Place

After a relatively slow three-handed match, Seth Davies limped the cutoff and then called off for 3.525 million when Sean Winter jammed the button.

Winter: {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Davies: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Davies got it in good but fell behind when the {j-Spades}{6-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop gave Winter two pair. Neither the {K-Hearts} turn nor {7-Diamonds} river helped Davies and he was sent to the rail in third place.

Winter is now officially out front in the race for the 2019 US Poker Open Championship regardless if he takes first or second.

Davies Doubles Through Peters

Level 20

Davies: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Peters: {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

Davies had the superior ace and shipped the double after the board ran out {8-Spades}{j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}.

Ben Lamb Eliminated in 4th Place ($42,000)

Level 20
Ben Lamb - 4th Place
Ben Lamb - 4th Place

Sean Winter limped holding the {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and snap-called when Ben Lamb moved all in for 1.78 million holding the {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}.

Lamb paired on the {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{j-Spades} flop but needed more help. The {K-Spades} turn wasn't great as Winter made a set, but Lamb could still make Broadway with a ten.

It wasn't meant to be as the {8-Spades} bricked the river. With that, Winters took over the chip lead.

Peters Takes It with Flop Bet

Level 19

David Peters limped holding the {10-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Ben Lamb checked his button option with the {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

Peters continued for 100K on the {q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} flop and Lamb folded.

Winter Doubles Through Davies

Level 19

Seth Davies open with a raise and called when Sean Winter three-bet jammed for 1.55 million.

Winter: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Davies: {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

The {j-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{j-Spades} flop left Davies looking for an ace, but the {Q-Diamonds} turn left him drawing dead as Winter made a boat. The meaningless {8-Clubs} was run out on the river and Winter doubled into second in chips.
