Kempe Takes Some from Foxen Early

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Rainer Kempe
Rainer Kempe

Keith Tilston opened to 2,500 from the hijack, Rainer Kempe called in the cutoff and Alex Foxen three-bet to 10,000 on the button. Kempe would be the lone caller and the dealer turned over {3-Clubs}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} on the flop.

Action checked to Foxen, he bet 5,000, Kempe called and the {6-Spades} landed on the turn. Kempe checked to Foxen who bet 21,000 and was snap-called by Kempe, the {4-Hearts} fell on the river.

Kempe pushed in a bet of 28,000, Foxen used a full time extension, but in the end called and Kempe tabled {5-Spades}{4-Spades} for a straight. Foxen looked of disgust as he chucked his cards into the muck, sending the pot to Kempe.
