Riordan Sends Coleman Out with Bullets

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The flop read {3-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and Maxx Coleman found all of his 135,000 in chips go into the middle, with a caller in John Riordan.

Coleman tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} for top pair and Riordan showed {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Spades} for an over pair of bullets. The {6-Hearts} on the turn and {j-Spades} on the river changed nothing, as Riodan took down the pot, eliminating Coleman from the tournament.

Kornuth Can't Get Through Chidwick

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Chance Kornuth limped in from the small blind and Stephen Chidwick raised in the big blind, making it 3,000. Kornuth called.

The flop was {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Kornuth checked. Chidwick put out a bet of 2,500 which Kornuth called.

Both players checked on the {10-Clubs} turn and the river was the {6-Clubs}. There, Kornuth led for 7,000 and Chidwick quickly called. Kornuth showed his {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a pair of nines and a missed flush draw while Chidwick was holding {A-Spades}{3-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for two pair, so he would take down the pot.

Yu Picks Off Foxen

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

On a board showing {J-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{6-Spades}, Ben Yu was first to act and he checked over to Alex Foxen. Foxen thought about it for a bit, then put out a bet that was right around pot sized of 30,000.

Yu dropped into the tank and used a time extension, thinking over his decision. He settled on a call and Foxen turned up his {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for a rivered set. Yu showed his {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{J-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} though for a better set, and that would earn him the pot.

The turn was the {6-Clubs} prompting checks from both players and the {8-Spades} dropped on the river. There, Sands led out betting 5,500. Galfond thought it over for a bit, then called. Sands turned up {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for no pair and a missed flush draw. Galfond showed his {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts} for two pair and he would take down the pot.
