Shak Doubles Through Rast In a Cooler

Level 3
Dan Shak
Dan Shak

No-Limit Hold'em:

Brian Rast opened with a raise to 2,500 from the button and Dan Shak called in the small blind. Chris Vitch called in the big blind and the three took a flop.

The flop was {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and action checked to Rast who bet 6,500. Shak called while Vitch quickly got away.

On the {A-Spades} turn, Shak checked again. Rast made it 17,500 and Shak moved all in for 74,500. Rast called quickly and their cards were tabled.

Dan Shak: {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Brian Rast: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

Shak flopped two pair and turned a full house leaving Rast needed to catch a king or a queen for a chop, but the river was the {J-Spades} and with that, Shak would double up and knock Rast down a bit.

Action checked to Vitch on fourth and he bet, finding calls from both players. On fifth, action checked to Vitch again. He bet, then Rast raised, making it two bets. Shak folded and Vitch called.

On sixth street, Vitch checked. Rast bet, and Vitch called. On seventh, Vitch led out and Rast went into the tank. He stood up from his chair and eventually called.

Vitch showed {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} for aces up, while Rast flashed {A-Spades} for a pair of aces that were no good. So with that, Vitch scooped the pot leaving Rast with just over 15,000 chips.
