Riess Wakes Up with Tens at the Right Time

Level 21 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Alex Foxen raised to 140,000 under the gun with the {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Koray Aldemir three-bet to 1.06 million holding the {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} on the button. Ryan Riess then called off for 645,000 from the small blind with the {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Winter folded pocket sevens from the big. Foxen got out of the way and Riess was primed to double.

That's exactly what he did too when the board ran out {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{a-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

Aldemir Returns the Favor

Level 21 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Koray Aldemir moved all in for 865,000 from the small blind and Ryan Riess called from the big.

Riess: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Aldemir: {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Aldemir was behind but managed to pair up on the {3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop. The {9-Hearts} turn left Riess looking for an ace on the river to score the knockout, but it wasn't in the cards as the {q-Clubs} peeled off instead.

Aldemir: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Riess: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

Level 21 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Sean Winter raised to 120,000 holding the {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} under the gun and Alex Foxen responded by three-betting all in for 1.45 million with the {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} on the button. Koray Aldemir woke up with {q-}{q-} in the small blind and called off for 1.1 million.

Winter got out of the way and Aldemir doubled through after the board ran out {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}.

Foxen Flips for Tournament Life

Level 22 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Alex Foxen moved all in for 520,000 under the gun and Ryan Riess isolated by jamming from the small blind.

Riess: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}
Foxen: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

The {7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop was safe for Foxen but the {4-Spades} turn did give Riess a flush draw. Fortunately for Foxen, the {7-Hearts} paired the board and he shipped the double.
