Biography

Alex Foxen is an American professional poker player and is the husband of three-time WSOP Bracelet winner Kristen Foxen.

Prior to poker, he was a college football player for Boston College, where he played tight end. Interestingly, Foxen won the very first WSOP Circuit event he entered in May 2012 in New Orleans for $22,421.

He has come a long way since then, having recorded over $21 million in total live earnings which includes a plethora of first-place finishes.

World Series of Poker

Foxen's only tournament win under the WSOP brand came in the aforementioned WSOP Circuit event but that hasn't stopped him from netting over $1 million in live WSOP earnings. The New York native has a total of 61 WSOP cashes, 12 of which are on the circuit and a further four at the WSOP Europe.

Foxen's best performance in the Main Event came in 2019, where he finished 40th for $211,945.

Across all WSOP events (WSOP/WSOPE/Circuit/Online), he has 12 final table appearances but has yet to get his hands on his first WSOP bracelet.

World Poker Tour, PokerGO Tour and Other Achievements

A majority of Foxen's success has come at the World Poker Tour and PokerGO Tour. He is ranked as the 19th player on the WPT, with two titles and over $3 million in cashes. Remarkably, his two victories have come from just three final tables.

His first seven-figure WPT payday was accomplished $10,400 WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic in 2017 for $1,134,202. He would go one better two years later, winning the same event for an improved $1,694,995.

In addition to his exploits under the WPT umbrella, Foxen is a force to be reckoned with on the PokerGO tour. He has claimed the top spot in four separate events for a combined score of $766,169.

His all-time best score was for $2,160,000 after he finished in second place in the 2019 Super High Roller Bowl. Other notable scores he has achieved include a HK$7,560,000 ($963,880) cash at the 2018 APPT HK$ 400,000 Super High Roller and was awarded £720,000 for his runners up performance at the 2018 partypoker £5,300 Millions UK Main Event.
