Alex Foxen Makes PokerGO Tour History With PLO Series Victory
High-stakes tournament crusher Alex Foxen scored his second victory in under a month as he took down one of the opening events of the PokerGO Tour (PGT) PLO Series II inside PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas.
In September, Foxen won a PGT Poker Masters $10,000 buy-in event for $272,000 and finished runner-up in another event for $196,000. He now adds another six-figure score to his more than $53 million in Hendon Mob earnings with a victory in Event #2: $5,300 PLO Quattro Bounty for $87,000 and another $90,000 in bounties.
The victory made Foxen the first poker player in PGT history to earn 10,000 tour points and 100 cashes, according to PokerGO.

Another Foxen Win
The event, part of the PGT PLO Series II running Oct. 14-25, drew 133 entrants for a prize pool of $665,000.
According to PokerGO updates, Foxen was propelled to the final table by a double knockout that ended Day 1. He reached four-handed play with a sizable chip lead over Ukraine's Kamel Mokhammad and Americans Michael Wang and LaDarren Banks.
Mokhammad, the short stack, fell to Wang as his king-high flush draw stood no chance against Wang's nut flush draw. Wang then doubled through Foxen and took a brief chip lead before Banks was eliminated at the hands of the eventual champion.
In the final hand, Wang's kings couldn't hold up against Foxen's flopped straight draw as Foxen rivered his straight to secure his second tournament win in under a month.
While Foxen has logged dozens of live tournament victories, this week's win gave him just his second victory in a non-Hold'em variant. In April, he won a PGT PLO Series $15,000 event for $315,000, while last Fall he won a WSOP.com $500 PLO Mystery Bounty event for $20,064 and his second bracelet.
Lonis Wins Series Opener
The PLO Series II has so far kicked off with well-known winners. Before Foxen's victory, fellow high-stakes American pro Jesse Lonis won the opening $5,100 PLO for $175,000 as he defeated heads-up opponent Chino Rheem.
Better yet for Lonis, he had a $50,000 side bet going with six others in the tournament to win an additional sum.
"Definitely created some crazy dynamics and decisions," Lonis wrote on Instagram.
The opening event final table also included high-stakes crusher Isaac Haxton and veteran grinder Josh Arieh, who just weeks ago won his seventh World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet in an online event.
