Hilakari Flops Broadway to Bad Beat Lim
Level 19
: Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Following a button raise to 32,000, William Lim called in the small blind. Jyrki Hilakari then jammed for more than half a million in chips and the action folded back to Lim. He grabbed towards his stack and started pushing it forward before fully committing to the call.
William Lim: A♠K♣
Jyrki Hilakari: A♦Q♦
The K♦J♥10♠ flop gave Hilakari broadway and the J♦ turn added a royal flush draw, while Lim had some more outs to stay alive. However, the river was the blank 8♥ and both stacks were counted. Lim had 392,000 and was covered to head to the payout desk.
