Oliva Martinez Sticks Around for Now

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Down to a severe short stack, Pedro Oliva Martinez was all-in with the {a-Hearts}{9-Spades} and David Martin Carmona called with the {a-Spades}{3-Clubs}.

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and the superior kicker not only held but gave Oliva Martinez a straight for the double.

Guillot Boasts a Massive Stack

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Not that long ago, Clement Guillot had taken a small hit to his stack when one of the late registrants check-called the {q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Spades}{9-Diamonds} turn for 8,000 and then checked the {j-Diamonds} river. Guillot checked behind and was shown the {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for the nut straight.

However, the player in that seat was then gone and Guillot recalled the action as follows. His previous nemesis apparently four-bet jammed seventy blinds with pocket sevens and ran right into pocket aces.

Fast forward to the current action, Guillot opened to 2,500 and snap-called the shove by Guillaume Tricoire for 17,400.

Guillaume Tricoire: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Clement Guillot: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

There was no escape for Tricoire on the {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts} board and the rich got even richer, leaving the table three-handed for a few moments.

Showdown Pot for Del Pino

Level 12 : 700/1,400, 1,400 ante

In a battle of the blinds to the {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{j-Hearts} turn, Ivan Dominguez Merino check-called a bet worth 7,500 by Omar Del Pino and they both opted to check the {3-Clubs} on the river. Dominguez Merino announced a pair of tens and tabled the {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, which Del Pino had beat with the {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}.

During the hand, Del Pino was silent but his usual bubbly self came out moments later as he has been entertaining the table with plenty of banter for the past hour.

Israel Felted by Creutz

Level 12 : 700/1,400, 1,400 ante
Johan Creutz and Pierre Calamusa
Johan Creutz and Pierre Calamusa

Nemo Israel defended out of the blinds against Johan Creutz and check-called a bet worth 2,000 on the {5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop. They checked the {k-Diamonds} turn and Israel also checked the {q-Diamonds} river. Creutz then pushed with the far superior stack and Israel was a non-believer, as he eventually called with the {6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. Creutz had that beat with {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} to earn the knockout and bumped fists with a table neighbour.
